Re-download recent Gmail messages using POP
While as far as I know it’s not possible to re-download specific messages, at least not in any productive way, I recently found myself in a position when I needed just that. Luckily the messages I needed were in the last few days and there is a way to re-download Gmail messages that are less than 30 days old.
All you need to do is go to your account settings in your email client and change you username to “recent:username@gmail.com”. Sure enough, when I clicked on Send & Receive I was downloading 207 messages, but at least I have those I want. It’s not perfect, but this may be of some help to someone.
Alternatively you could forward all those emails you need to yourself and then download through POP, but you do loose some info along the way and it can get pretty tedious and boring.
Thanks to Technofriends for the info

Hi Joseph!
You should be in the right place, but keep in mind that as far as I know, this only works in Gmail, so if you’re using another service you will need a work around.
If you do use gmail, you click on your email account and click on change. All you need to do is replace your current user name with recent:joseph@gmail.com for example.
If it’s not a Gmail account you can try by forwarding your email into a gmail acount, either by actual forwarding, or setting up gmail to get mail from the account using POP. You can then set up the gmail account in your Outlook and try the recent:…
Tell me how it goes and if you need further help,
