The Official Gmail Blog released the info that they are rolling out voice and video chat right inside Gmail! Since they are rolling out this means not all of us will get to try it out yet, but if you can see it in your Gmail let us know what it’s like please! I only use apps, so it should take longer for me, but I’m realyl curious about the quality and reliability. the video on the blog seems a bit too good to be true quality-wise, but I’m hoping it will be decent enough to use comfortably.

Apparently they have been using known web standards, so 3rd party applications should be able to tap into this. Perhaps one day we will see a Gmail Desktop version with email, chat, video and voice support and so on? I’d love to see that one soon!
