There’s been a lot of debate on the net about the best client. Pidgin vs Trillian used to be of main concern until Digsby emerged. In its initial release stages it was near, or as good as any of the two, but since then it has developed and it is rapidly leaving every other chat client in the dust.
Why? Apart from the obvious features, the ability to connect to any IM network, it has tons of extra features, and it seems the Digsby team is developing more and more. For me Digsby stands out for four reasons. Awesome Twitter support, great email support, connectivity stability and skins. Plus, it has the cutest logo ever! Turn the page and I’ll introduce you to Digsby, since this is a post in the in-depth column, prepare yourself for a longer read!

Hi everyone!
I was really busy redesigning the site, which you can only see in full a bit later, but most of it in place. My wonderful date calendar and digg button and comment number buttons can be seen to the left and there is only one sidebar now. I think I will increase the length of the one sidebar, and the post area.
Also, I didn’t have time to write a post today, but I will be covering Digsby tomorrow. Digsby is an awesome chat client which I have actually started using full time instead of Pidgin. In short it has a great interface, very easily and highly customizable, great chat capabilities like file transfer, a cool notification method and the cutest icon ever. If you want to check it out send me a line at daniel [at sign] hackyourday [d.ot] com and I will send you one when I write the post tomorrow.
Get them while they’re fresh!
